Israel Horseback Riding Tours
Sirin’s most intense tour is a 9-day Tour of Israel, which takes dedicated riders by horseback and car through three separate geographic regions.Tour Israel begins in the north in the Galilee Mountains, and continues on through the Jordan River down to the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee). A break from horseback riding is a ride in a vehicle to Mount Tabor and then a walking tour of Nazareth. The tour continues on horseback to the Jezreel Valley and Megiddo. From here it continues on to the beautiful Mount Carmel and then to Kibbutz Dalia from where the tour continues by car to the holy city of Jerusalem. From Jerusalem it proceeds by car to the Judean Desert. From here the tour switches to horseback until Masada which is climbed on foot and then a car ride will take you to a pampering dip in a natural hot spring along the Dead Sea. The last leg of the tour is by car to Tel Aviv. This tour is not offered in the hottest months of July and August and in fact the best time to book this tour is October to April.

If you’re a novice rider, Sirin offers tours for both experienced and non-experienced riders. The professionals at Sirin can teach you all you need to know before your tour begins and will tailor your travels to your riding level.
The founder and owner of Sirin, Yair Sharet, has been around horses since the age of three. Yair’s passion is breeding purebred Arabian race horses. Yair’s horses have twice won national prizes, in 2003 and 2007.
Yair established Sirin for his love of horses and the land of Israel and named his company after an area somewhat west of Israel’s Jordan Valley, known as Sirin Heights. Sharet spent a great deal of time riding in this area as a youth and developed a special fondness for this region. He even named his first Arabian horse after the area, calling her Noor Sirin, or “Light of Sirin.” This mare won the 2003 Breeder Cup Race in Israel.

Second in command at Sirin Riders is Uri Shama, who serves as horse trainer and riding instructor. In addition to working at Sirin, Uri manages the Double Saddle Ranch located on his Kibbutz, HaZorea. Kibbutz HaZorea provides Western riding lessons to over 100 students.
Accommodations vary depending on the ground covered during a Sirin riding tour. You may sleep in a sweet little wooden bungalow or in a real Bedouin tent. In any event, Sirin makes sure you always have proper showers and toilets at your disposal, except during wilderness overnights.
The food provided at Sirin is non-kosher, but with advance warning, Sirin can provide for specific dietary needs including kosher or vegan.

Horseback Riding Tours in Israel: Did You Know?
While Sirin can create custom tours for non-riders, these deviate from its standard tours. For standard tours, riders are expected to be experienced and strong enough to ride 30-40 kilometers a day or 18-25 miles.
